Lesson 59 – Planting Seeds For Future Generations

There will be a literal period when we create heaven upon earth. Yes, this is part of our future evolution.

However, we’re currently at least 100 to 150 years away from the beginning of that time. First, we must eliminate the old structure that doesn’t work and our old consciousness that created it. We also have way too many people to be able to reside on Earth for another 100 years. Valuing money over human creativity has created these problems, and this particular time during this specific century is what I call THE TURN.

We’re facing a turning point, a single bifurcation point in our human evolution. This turning point aims to move us from using our logical, rational left brain to our intuitive right brain. We won’t give up the logical, rational left brain but instead will move it to “the backseat” behind our primary way to guide life – that of our intuitive promptings.

The logical left brain has created a reality determined and controlled by man’s laws. The intuitive right brain will be directed by the Purposeness that has made all of life around us. We are headed toward using the right brain, and if we learn how to use it well, we will be able to avoid the monstrous change that will purge many systems that we take for granted. We essentially will be placing our lives in the hands of Purposiveness and out of man’s rational, logical way of guiding life.

Eventually (maybe a century away), a group of people who use their right brain as their guidance system will be born. When that happens, a whole new society will emerge – one you could label as a gnostic society. But this group isn’t here yet.

We can’t participate in such a society today, but we can and are supposed to “plant seeds” for these future generations.

A small group of us needs to change our consciousness and value system so that we can do research, develop new concepts, and discover new and better ways of doing things. Over the next 100 years or so, we should be able to accumulate a database of experience showing what works well and what doesn’t. This should be our current goal. That will allow us to help bring in our ideal future vision – what could happen most positively if we could do it now?

The Emergence of a New Gnostic Society

Throughout the 20th century and into the 21st, mankind has been aggressively expanding all over the face of the Earth. This was made possible because of the one-time endowment of cheap, abundant, and initially considered a limitless oil supply, which made our current population explosion possible. It was easy for our society to support the creation of more money and ever-increasing levels of personal consumption, which played to our self-centered, greed-driven desire nature. Profit-seeking through ever-increasing consumption has built our extensive highway systems, our suburbs, our strip malls, and a massive array of consumer goods and services that play to the delight of our five senses.

Even our laws were written to support and promote this business model that, in reality, was not truly a moral or consciously ethical way to lead life. Its tremendous attractiveness generated unparalleled monetary wealth for many people and kept our masses enthralled through consumption and the sense of gratification necessary for continued economic growth. No one was encouraged to examine the chain of causation behind the creation of any good or service, and consequently, tremendous damage was done to our entire support system.

The United States has become the leading promoter of this consumption-driven economic model. It has used its great resources to convince and force (when necessary) all other countries worldwide to give up their old social models and adopt the same approach. It was an amazingly effective economically driven world domination strategy since our natural human propensity is to want to satisfy lower senses and become material-oriented enjoyers rather than exert ourselves in more demanding endeavors. It was fueled by the powerful force of greed that has allowed business leaders and related industry gurus to acquire tremendous personal wealth.

Over time, the number of billionaires worldwide has been steadily increasing. The United States has the most significant number of billionaires, followed by Asia, Europe, and Latin America. According to Forbes’ 19th annual list of the wealthiest people published in 2005, there are 691 US-dollar billionaires in the world. According to CNN News Service 2005, the total number of U.S. millionaires was nearly 2.5 million. These two main motivators of personal wealth creation worldwide are economic growth and market capitalization.

Since the first commercial oil well in Pennsylvania in 1859, around half a million oil wells in the United States produce more than 2 billion barrels of crude oil annually. However, the US imports over 3.5 billion additional barrels annually to meet current needs. Americans use more than 15 million barrels of petroleum products daily. The introduction of this powerful and abundant fuel supply has, in its century reign, wreaked havoc upon the Earth through direct and indirect environmental destruction, through encouraging overpopulation and massive unnecessary consumption of goods and services, and ultimately by unleashing the potentially Apocalyptic forces of global warming.

In the process, a small group of wealthy people became more affluent, and a vast middle class of consumers blindly followed this unfortunate over-expansion of life without questioning its actual long-term social and moral value. The middle class flourished for a while, but today, we see the first signs of it moving toward a permanent decline. At the same time, those who control the system (the merchants and the business and political leaders) continue to increase their wealth and attempt to perpetuate our old, decaying economic approach to life.

Was what we’ve done a mistake, a wrong direction in our evolutionary process? No, not at all. According to the Arc of Creation, the cosmological model of the evolution of consciousness I share in this work, we have executed our evolutionary requirements incredibly accurately. A long time ago, when we moved into the third kingdom (that of the emergence and development of the individual ego), we were leaving a time when our group consciousness was most dominant (the second kingdom era), and our objective became that of acquiring maximum personal power through the domination of the physical outer world. We did that very well, and today, we have arrived at the peak of the use of the rational, logical mind (the fourth kingdom and that of the Information Age), where everything is now determined by some kind of law (scientific, legal, etc.).

What is most interesting is that prophecies and myths from many different cultures have predicted this transitional time over the last several thousand years. Each major past civilization possesses at least a small amount of such literature. Why did the ancient Mayans choose Sunday, December 21st, 2012, as the end of their long count calendar? The Mayans were adept skywatchers.

From an astronomical viewpoint, this date represents an extremely close conjunction of the winter solstice sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator and the ecliptic, which the ancient Maya recognized as the Sacred Tree. This event has been coming to resonance very slowly over thousands of years and caused the Myan to backdate their calendar on August 12th, 3113 B.C., using the 2012 date as the beginning reference point.

Scientist and mathematician Maurice Cotterell demonstrated through extensive computer modeling of astronomical data that this date referenced a profoundly symbolic event for the Mayans, known as the “Birth of Venus.” August 12, 3113 BC, marked when the Pleiades were directly overhead in the sky, and Venus rose on the horizon just before the Sun. This is the star-encoded “Birth of Venus” that began the 5th and last Mayan age and which will end 5,126 years later on December 22, 2012, when Venus will sink below the western horizon at the same time when the Pleiades will rise over the eastern. What this “death of Venus” means and the end of the Mayan calendar will be shown to us over time. In my opinion, it probably signifies the end of our old consciousness and the beginning of a whole new era where the human race begins to build new values and supports a new vision for its future.

Considering the importance the Mayans placed upon the planet Venus, I suspect that it will be a time when the human race will be able to value life based upon love and beauty rather than money and sense gratification and when the decisive moment of The Turn becomes actualized upon Earth.

It is more than a coincidence that we find today the most challenging period ever experienced by the human race when a more significant percentage of ordinary people have access to substantial power that, if used destructively, could end all of life on earth. At this junction, a critical turning point in our evolution, we are being challenged to change our ways to become responsible custodians rather than aggressive competitors and consumers.

As we research other past cultures, we find two different places on Earth that have contributed substantially and support the prophecy of today’s transitional forces. This is the Mediterranean area (particularly Greece and Rome) and India. John’s Revelations are the most influential prophecy that has been carried through time and embraced by the most significant number of people. His visions and symbolic descriptions can be correlated with other prophetic stories, such as that of the Indian Vedas and Puranas of an even older and perhaps pre-historic origin, so he isn’t alone in the substance of his prophecies.

Because of its adoption by the catholic church and other Christian religions, the Revelations has been carried forth and considered an essential document for almost 2000 years. Even so, my reference to this work is by no means an attempt at promoting any particular “ism.” Instead, I find this work very useful in challenging our thoughts about how we, as a global society, can find our way through our emerging transitional period by leaning on the visions and descriptions of ancient intuitive thought, which allowed for a significant expansion of actual knowledge beyond just mere logic.

All of the old civilizations have utilized similar descriptions and symbolic keys for understanding the evolution of consciousness through the movement of time. The foundation that these descriptions are built upon is the zodiac (division and qualities of space) and the underlying truths made accessible through the use of the qualities expressed in numbers (sequence of time) and sacred geometry (space and time merged into shapes).

What makes John’s Revelations particularly useful is his ability to describe in such a way as to encourage our ability to pull out of his work a common denominator which weaves a recurring theme on different levels, from various viewpoints, but always the identical image – the movement of human consciousness through the zodiac over time and the subsequent descent of these energies in the form of a temple – a three-dimensional mapping of the evolution of consciousness that incorporates the details of his Vision and which becomes a structure on the material plane that is identical to the vision of the zodiac in the subtle planes of consciousness.

The zodiac, in its subtle form, contains a body of knowledge and symbolic language that can be accessed and unlocked by a qualified seer. The critical keys that surface form another type of language that, in the olden days, allowed for the storage of references to time based upon the movement of the heavenly bodies. The temple that John envisioned is a mapping of these subtle bodies on the physical plane, much like an idea that appears in a writer’s mind, accessible only to him, and he is then able to share it through writing it down in book form.

The writing is not the actual form until another person props up the described structure in his or her mind, and the geometric drawings and representations are infused with archetypal knowledge through “seeing them.” Even without a complete understanding, the mappings or symbols hold an inherent and absolute power that can be accessed by keeping them in the visual cortex of the observer’s mind for some time. Through this process, and then through uncovering the meaning of the arrangement of these symbols as they move through time, archetypal knowledge becomes revealed.

The seer of the past could use images corresponding to the level of enlightenment of his particular age and to which he belonged. The seer of the present who can decipher these messages needs to use a key(s) that may have even been hidden from the original seer but which unlocks the door to the inner source, which is the essence of all prophecy. The key(s) come through understanding and comprehending the underlying language and the forms used. This is how archetypal knowledge can span large blocks of time and even make it through periods where the knowledge itself has been lost to all living people.

Along with the vision of the descent of a temple, John ultimately envisioned a future city that is not the symbol of some esoteric truth but an actual place on Earth. It is through the descent of this temple that a center is first formed, and from that energetic mapping of consciousness, knowledge is revealed and becomes accessible by those who can “see” the temple’s form and understand its cosmology and what it represents and then begin an inner transformational process to be able to manifest in the outer dimensions an actual physical representation of this center.

The center will, over time, allow the Earth to become a literal temple (heaven upon earth) and each person a divinized chalice of light, power, knowledge, and bliss if enough people gain access to the inherent knowledge within its structure and surrender to the truth contained therein and what is required in the outer world to live it.

The zodiac and astronomical knowledge, numbers, and sacred geometry together form a universal language that existed in the ancient past, and today, this knowledge is ignored by our scientific establishment. Our valued knowledge must be proven from the linear realm of logical and rational thought. The zodiac, numbers, and sacred geometry emerge from the realm of the intuitive mind. This allows for forming a bridge, leading to higher dimensions of thought that do not necessarily correlate with the level of the material plane.

Yet all significant scientific breakthroughs still emerge from the intuitive realm of knowing, which is then dissected and ordered by the mind and eventually proven out. Through their robust intuitive and vision-forming characteristics, the use of the ancient “languages” enables a person initiated into their mysteries to understand the words and thoughts of another initiate, even when separated by thousands of years. This is how actual knowledge can travel over time and remain intact even though the masses’ consciousness might have degenerated since that time.

During my seven years in the spiritual desert of self-discovery (from 1989 to 1996), I was guided by many people (living as well as from the past through the words in their books), and I studied many philosophies, religions, and science. I somehow became obsessed with a burning desire to answer two questions: “Who Am I? and What Did I Come Here To Do With My Life?” At the beginning of my quest, I didn’t realize that it wasn’t possible to answer these two critical questions without first understanding how and why the universe worked, and the difficulty of my quest expanded as I dug deeper and deeper into gaining the necessary experience.

I spent every waking moment, seven days a week, 365 days a year, for seven years, trying to come up with the answers. Nothing else seemed to matter, and I completely dropped out of the business world, which I was a successful part of. Instead, I spent all my time in a question-and-answer process where I would be guided to ask a question. Then, I might spend a few hours or even a few months exploring material and receiving intuitive insight that provided answers that then posed new questions. This constant churning between question and answer finally allowed me to end up in 1996 with a cosmology of the evolution of consciousness in a single three-dimensional form. I call that wireframe the Mother’s Temple. To my surprise, I finally realized that this three-dimensional mapping I received is the temple described in John’s prophecy.

For many years since then, I researched ancient history through any means and source that I could find to determine if anyone in any past time had a cross-section or a glimpse of any part of this cosmology. The most I came up with were particular forms of sacred geometry that alluded to small pieces of this cosmology but didn’t tie them into any integrated model. The most revealing diagram I discovered was a symbol attributed to King Solomon, who was believed to have been born around 1,000 BC.

This geometric symbol was called the Fifth Pentacle of Jupiter and was said to have great power for assured visions. Jacob was believed to have access to this symbol and, with it, beheld the ladder which reached heaven. I fully believe from my own experience that if someone had the understanding to draw this symbol and adequately relate it to the entire universal manifestation, he would have been able to resurrect the cosmology of the temple referred to in John’s Revelations, which was written 1,000 years later and come up with the three-dimensional form that I ended up within 1996.

Was John able to see a complete representation of this geometrical form? Even though his descriptions were disguised within symbolic language and zodiacal references related to time, he saw the boundaries of this shape and maybe even the complete shape itself. How many others have also had glimpses of the temple energies and its form? These old languages of ancient times were more conducive to promoting intuitive insight. In our modern times, we’ve lost our ability to think abstractly and find underlying truths in even the most mundane subjects.

Our current thought process is much more mechanical, and its goals are intensely materialistic. We’ve essentially divorced the concept of beauty from our thoughts and our lives at the expense of seeking maximum profits through utility. As a result, most ordinary people have never had the opportunity to see and feel the universe for what it is. This process isn’t taught in our schools and doesn’t exist in our daily lives. Instead, we are caught up in the constant battle of making ends meet, and when we do, we expand the horizon of our lower desires rather than taking time to see the universe as it is.

When I finally received the cosmology contained in the temple’s three-dimensional form, I realized that I already had a latent knowledge of it, not from this lifetime but from being involved with it in the distant past. It was an experience like going back home to an ancient time when this form of communication through sacred geometry and sacred architecture was commonplace for most people instead of being considered strange or unimportant as it is today.

Everything in our capitalistic world pales in comparison to the truth contained in the shape and integrity of the form of the temple cosmology. For many years since its unveiling, I’ve wondered whether I should share this with anyone and whether I can transfer the depth of the knowledge I’ve acquired through the journey to uncover its incredible form. It was the journey that was the most satisfying part of the discovery.

When I look at the temple’s shape today, it reminds me of my seven years of exploration, where I was, what my outer environment looked like, and how I was living while I acquired the foundational components of the temple, one piece at a time. Its image takes me back to when I was completely removed from the world, and the universe could speak to me through my inner-directed explorations. What a beautiful memory and incredible time. In the balance of these writings, I have tried to share some key components that allowed me to assemble the temple. At the end of this work, I hope you can benefit from the insights that I have had the good fortune to come through me.

I have a habit of writing all over my crucial reference books. I place napkins, notecards, bookmarks, and any page divider (including bending corners of pages) to track my exploration within each book. Two and a half years into exploring my seven-year journey, I found a critically important book on June 6, 1992. I know the exact day since I still have the receipt for its payment inside the book as one of my page dividers. I even remember the particular trip to the Crazy Wisdom Bookstore where I bought it. The book is The Reflexive Universe, written by Arthur Young.

At the time, I was trying to define the overall shape of the universe through a single brief model. Arthur Young’s Theory of Process looked very much like the cosmology I was examining, which was earlier described by Sri Aurobindo, one of my favorite philosophers. In fact, after a cursory reading of the Reflexive Universe, I concluded that Arthur Young also had a run-in with Sri Aurobindo’s work, which had a noticeable influence on his thought and development. The keys of ancient knowledge have been touched upon by so many people, all searching for a glimpse of the Absolute Truth, which shows itself in myriad ways. In the end, knowledge can be acquired, and it takes someone to put it together in its most simple and elegant form by reducing it to a single three-dimensional image.

This is where the descent of a temple is ultimately so powerful in John’s vision. We could take many lifetimes to explore the hows of this process using mental questioning, but if we are adequately prepared, we can receive through intuitive knowing the actual why in a few brief moments. It is the search for the reason for the existence of life that is important and not necessarily how it all works at a microscopic level, and this is the key that we are looking for that unlocks the answer to our most fundamental questions – “How does the universe work and what is the purpose of life?”

I am constantly amazed at the knowledge contained in the work of our most gifted philosophers and mystics.

In Chapter 1, Verse 12, John . . . “saw seven golden candlesticks” . . . and in Verse 16 . . . “and he had in his right hand seven stars . . .” In Verse 20 . . . “the seven candlesticks are the seven churches, and the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches” . . . thus establishing through this work the significance of the number seven many times throughout his vision.

In Arthur Young’s Theory of Process, we find that he has defined seven kingdoms of creation (the seven churches?) and that each kingdom has seven substages (the seven stars?).

In Sri Aurobindo’s The Adventure of Consciousness, we find seven centers of consciousness grouped into four levels of being: the subconscient (physical), the vital (emotional), the mental, and the supercontinent (spiritual). He further states “ . . . that these seven centers are not situated in our physical body but in another dimension, though their concentration at certain moments may become so intense that there is the acute sensation of a physical localization.”

In the Mayan calendar, five 5,125-year cycles add up to 25,600 years of calendar time. In Maurice Cotterell’s work using computer modeling and sunspot activity, there are seven sunspot shift cycles during this same 25,600-year period.

So when John “saw” the essence of the temple above, the actual spirit of the temple, in what form did it present itself? More than likely, it was expressed by archetypal geometric shapes, and along with these shapes, there was a movement that further described the energy of the actual form. To catch a glimpse of the spirit contained within this sacred container, there had to be a mapping of the consciousness of this spirit, which was alive and active within the realm of the temple’s boundaries.

Numbers emerged to order this movement and provide repeatable access to an inherent language that could speak to anyone familiar with them, no matter their native language or place in time.

At the time of John’s original vision, the temple only existed within the subtle dimension of the spiritual world as a pure vision. Gradually, throughout the remainder of his prophecy, the temple descended upon Earth far into the future and beyond his time, some 2000 years later in the 21st Century.

For this archetypal temple to descend and become visible in the earth dimension (our three-dimensional physically manifested universe, the 3DPMU), the vision had to penetrate the world of forms—that of Earth, time, and space.

The time is now for the descent of the temple and the beginning of the transitional period of The Turn. We find that conditions on Earth are far from that of the golden age that John saw much further out in the future. Yet, they are ripe for the temple descent, which is the first step in the creation of a new Gnostic society and the development of a transitional race of people who plant the seeds for the future generations who gradually can manifest the prophesized golden age. Much unwinding of our old and no longer timely or healthy consciousness exists.

By the beginning of the 21st century, almost everything was determined by law, and people were suing each other for the most mundane things because they saw themselves as separate. Instead of unity, we stand in a time of ultimate separation and self-centeredness.

We are no longer connected but see each other as objects for financial benefit and conquest. Everything today seems centered around money rather than caring, sharing, giving, loving, and nurturing. Instead, we develop excellent skills to become efficient takers (within our defined legal boundaries and the rules of our current “game”) without giving very much back. We have sucked the lifeblood out of our families and out of our personal and business relationships, and we find that few people care about us anymore unless we possess considerable money.

As a more significant percentage of us head toward old age, we find ourselves alone and very concerned about whether we will have enough money (rather than the support of our family and friends as the norm) to get through the remainder of our lives.

We stand within a period on Earth that we call the Information Age. At this time, the rational, logical mind rules the Earth, and a more significant percentage of our people are literate, well-educated, and capable of advanced thought. Yet, despite this excellent access to the power of the mind, we have lost the keys to actual knowledge that existed before during our ancient civilizations. We must first gain this knowledge before attempting to design solutions for our current problems and developing support systems and lifestyles for the future. We are awaiting the appearance of the blueprint for creating a Gnostic society, and to better define this type of society, I would like to share with you the definition of Gnostic that I’m using.

Gnosis refers to a specialized form of knowledge acquired by direct participation or experience through esoteric or intuitive experiences gained from mystical insight. In other words, our method of seeing life needs to shift from linear ever, looping mental constructs to true knowing and move away from the prevalence of the use of logic and its limited perception of what is possible on just the physical plane to the acquisition of actual truth and the limitless possibilities that can be explored using higher levels of consciousness. A Gnostic society forms from honoring the underlying truth of evolution. It builds its foundation from the guidance of Divine Desire rather than that of a multitude of separate individuals, each imposing his or her own lower ego drives.

As Sri Aurobindo describes in The Adventure of Consciousness, a very distinct center must emerge within us that overcomes and shares the limitations of the mind as our primary center for “seeing” . . . “the voice of the mind which covers everything, annexes everything. There is no single movement of our being, no matter at what level, not an emotion, not a desire, not the twinkling of an eye, which is not immediately snapped up by the mind and covered with a coating of thought – that is, we mentalize everything.

This is the utility of the mind in the course of our evolution: it helps us to bring to our surface consciousness all the movements of our being that would otherwise remain in a state of unformed magma, subconscious or superconscious. It also helps us establish a semblance of order in this anarchy and coordinates all these tiny feudal states under its sovereignty. But by that very fact, the authentic voice and function veils from us.”

At the pinnacle of the information age, it isn’t surprising that the mind has covered actual knowledge. We’ve accepted being occasionally happy while satisfying our lower desires through temporary material pursuits. Yet, at the same time, even though we have access to more material wealth than ever before, we are beginning to realize and feel the incomplete approach to life that we now have. More and more people are realizing that there is a significantly better approach to life than we currently have. They are just at a loss to define precisely what it is.

The first step of manifesting anything within the 3DPMU is creating desire. A new reality can form when desire strengthens enough and enough people support the same vision. This is the next step in our evolutionary development, creating an accurate and shared vision of how life should be led. I have just shared the temple cosmology in its most perfect form.

Your challenge now is to unwind the adverse forces that have created and surrendered you to a higher vision waiting to guide you. How do you go about doing this?
